AtkinsRéalis in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a senior Materials, Metallurgical and Welding Engineer to lead engineering activities across manufacturing, refurbishment, and new build programs, with emphasis on nuclear and other regulated environments.

The role requires deep expertise in welding processes, metallurgy, and codes, plus the ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams, resolve non-conformances, and deliver solutions that meet project budgets, schedules, and QA requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Materials, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario is an asset.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in materials, metallurgical, and welding engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CSA N285 and ASME BPVC sections.
• Experience evaluating NDE results, failure analyses, and root-cause investigations.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor others.

Aufgaben

• Lead and execute materials, metallurgical, and welding engineering activities supporting manufacturing, refurbishment, construction, inspections, readiness reviews, and non-conformance resolution.
• Provide technical expertise on welding processes, procedures, qualifications, repairs, and acceptance criteria for pressure-retaining, structural, and nuclear components.
• Develop, review, and approve welding specifications, WPS/PQRs, repair plans, procedures, and QA-compliant documentation.
• Investigate and resolve fabrication challenges including weld quality, heat treatment, metallurgical conditions, and inspection findings.
• Support major nuclear refurbishment projects and new build programs addressing materials, metallurgical, welding, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, fabricators, inspectors, and labs to deliver solutions within budget and schedule constraints.
