Senior Marketing Operations Specialist (Offers)

The AIR MILES Reward Program is one of Canada’s most recognized loyalty programs, with over 10 million active collector accounts, representing more than half of all Canadian households. AIR MILES collectors earn Reward Miles at more than 300 leading Canadian, global and online brands and at thousands of retail and service locations across the country. AIR MILES is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal (BMO). BMO is Canada’s oldest bank and the 8th largest in North America with more than 12 million customers globally.

Position Overview:

AIR MILES is going through a Brand transformation – focusing on how we can bring more miles to collectors so they can redeem them for the moments that matter. As part of this we are centralizing offer creation and management under a new Offers Operations team, with the goal of unlocking better execution and scalability across the business.

As a member of the Offers Operations team, you will transform the way we approach offer creation and management. You will become an expert on offer creation and will ultimately drive process improvement and operational rigor to how we deliver offers across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Map out the end-to-end offer creation process for our different Marketing verticals. Create a clear picture of the inputs, outputs, stakeholders and systems involved in these processes.
  2. Measure current state performance in offer creation – help the team understand opportunities for improvement and create a measurement methodology to track the effectiveness of said improvements.
  3. Collaborate with other teams to turn process improvement ideas into reality. They will need to map requirements, create roll-out plans, conduct acceptance testing and be responsible for delivery.
  4. Change management – work with other teams to ensure successful process adoption. Consolidate Stakeholder feedback into actionable recommendations and deliver on appropriate changes.
  5. Take over and manage day-to-day offers creation in Marketing. From ideation to execution, ensure all offers go live on time and are free from error. Ensure the transition from current owners to Offer Ops is as seamless as possible.
  6. Develop and drive process improvements to our Marketing Operations ecosystem. Suggest and deliver ideas to help us serve collectors faster, prevent errors and improve post live monitoring.
  7. Become a subject matter expert in Offer Creation. Collaborate with other Marketing teams on best ways to execute and deliver offers for their campaigns.
  8. Improve overall ways of working in Marketing and beyond. Identify pain points across the org. and come up with lightweight solutions to address these pains. (prevent unwanted offer collisions in Marketing, establish consistent language and definitions around offer constructs, etc.)
  9. Analyze offer signals and performance metrics – use data to spot problems in offer setup and work with the team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience in either a Tech, Startup, or Rewards environment.
  2. Skilled problem solver. Good at narrowing in on the root causes of issues.
  3. Naturally curious – wants to understand how things work under the surface.
  4. Comfortable digesting and analyzing data. Have shown experience using data to drive decision making.
  5. Effective communicator, able to simplify complex or technical topics in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Experience with process mapping and process improvement are a plus.
