Job description

At Vicwest, we are “Building for Tomorrow” and are currently looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Burlington office.

Position Summary:

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing Vicwest’s marketing initiatives across Canada and the U.S., supporting growth in both manufactured and distributed product lines. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, this role is instrumental in executing marketing strategies that drive awareness, lead generation, and sales enablement. The successful candidate will also act as a mentor to the existing marketing team, contributing to both their development and the overall marketing function.

Industry knowledge is essential, as is the ability to lead digital strategy and website development initiatives. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is considered a strong asset.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Strategic Marketing Leadership and Execution - Lead and execute strategic marketing initiatives across multiple channels to drive growth and align with company objectives.

2. Team Leadership and Development - Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team to enhance their skills and overall performance.

3. Digital Marketing and Performance Management - Oversee digital marketing strategies and campaign performance, managing agency partnerships and optimizing results through data-driven insights.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives aligned with Vicwest’s corporate and regional objectives
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal investment across initiatives
  • Lead the implementation of omni-channel marketing programs, including traditional, digital, and in-store tactics, focused on lead generation and sales funnel performance
  • Oversee tradeshow planning and execution, ensuring high-impact presence and alignment with business goals
  • Manage relationships with creative, media, and digital agencies to deliver effective campaign outcomes
  • Develop pre- and post-campaign analysis to measure performance, identify learnings, and recommend improvements
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the marketing team
  • Drive the company’s digital marketing presence, including SEO/SEM strategy, paid media, and performance marketing
  • Oversee content and UX development for Vicwest websites and digital platforms; ability to build and manage pages in AEM or similar CMS is an asset
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing materials, product messaging, and digital assets are current, compliant, and aligned with brand standards
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for all marketing activities, providing analysis to inform ongoing decision-making and budget optimization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience, including team leadership
  • Experience in building materials, construction, or industrial manufacturing industries strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor marketing professionals
  • Demonstrated experience in digital strategy development, including website management, SEO/SEM, and paid media
  • Experience managing agency/vendor relationships and cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align marketing plans to commercial outcomes
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
