Role Overview

Manages the systems engineering department, overseeing design, requirements, and operational analysis for projects and bids. Responsible for process development, technical advice, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain systems design and requirements management processes.
2. Handle technical problems promptly.
3. Ensure designs meet customer specifications with minimal risk.
4. Promote reuse of existing designs for efficiency.
5. Lead and develop the systems design team, including hiring, training, and mentoring.
6. Manage department resources, schedules, and budgets.
7. Maintain good communication with all system design stakeholders.
8. Support technical marketing and proposal development.
9. Ensure safety is integrated into all designs.
10. Stay updated on railway signaling technology developments.

Minimum Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in critical control systems.
• B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Railway Operating Rules and practices.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Rail/Signaling industry.
