What is the opportunity?

This role within the Social Media Team will be part of leading RBC’s social strategy and will deliver breakthrough social media marketing campaigns for a variety of RBC products and brand initiatives. You will bring a keen understanding of social media marketing, ad platforms and social media channels. You are an expert on social media creative, analytics, and measurement – with experience identifying success metrics and reporting on campaign results. You will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with line of business leads and media planning partners developing the social media strategies, and working with our agency partners, channel vendors, and design team to ensure the campaigns are planned and executed smoothly.

*Please note this is a 13-month contract opportunity.

What will you do?

  • Craft strategic social POVs to support LOBs and work with partners and agencies to bring campaigns to life
  • Transform social data and social insights that can fuel creative, content & campaigns across priority platforms
  • Interpret marketing briefs to identify optimal and best-in-class social media solutions to deliver on business objectives
  • Establish strong working relationships with marketing to ensure social media solutions satisfy needs and expectations
  • Act as a Centre of Excellence and internal expert on all things social media, helping to educate and empower partners with the most effective best practices to drive business results
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure best-in-class delivery on all social campaign assets
  • Build, lead, and ensure high-impact response to test & learn approach to new social media marketing activities
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide insights, learnings and recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of social media campaigns to drive desired business outcomes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Social Media Marketing experience, both campaign planning and execution, over the past 4 years.
  • 7-10 years marketing and advertising experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic capacity.
  • Firm understanding of marketing fundamentals.
  • Strategic thinker with experience managing large campaigns with numerous stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented nature with experience reporting on insights and campaign results.
  • Proven experience managing large budgets and allocating dollars strategically.
  • Experience as a people manager
