Job description

What is the opportunity?

The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is a centralized first line of defense group (1LOD) with the goal of embedding a culture of risk ownership and operational excellence by elevating the control environment and driving consistency and quality of risk practices to minimize loss and regulatory sanction, drive cost efficiencies, and accelerate execution to enable growth. The Practice Management team serves to coordinate and drive consistency across 1LOD risk identification, controls, issue management, and non-financial-risk management practices.

Job Description

You will serve as a critical bridge between all three lines of defence—including Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk, business leadership, and Internal Audit—ensuring coordinated, integrated execution of regulatory change programs with enterprise-wide visibility and impact. You will be the primary point of contact and coordination for remediation activities while providing analytical and advisory insights to key stakeholders, and partnering with first, second, and third line of defense colleagues.

What will you do?
Program Management & Regulatory Remediation

  • Oversee the timeliness and accuracy of regulatory responses, including data requests, exam findings, and closure packages
  • Coordinate management action plans and provide strategic oversight of remediation execution and timely resolution
  • Develop comprehensive status reporting on regulatory initiatives with full transparency on delivery risks, issues, and remediation progress
  • Integrate AI solutions into regulatory workflows to streamline reporting, identify emerging trends, enhance program visibility, and enable predictive issue identification
Methodology & Governance
  • Strengthen ECCO's methodology frameworks, 1LOD centralized guidelines, and governance structures
  • Co‑lead regulatory governance forums and support risk/control assessment refinement
  • Develop thematic observations and regulatory recommendations
  • Facilitate governance approvals for 1LOD remediation activities
  • Deliver ongoing regulatory communications and executive‑level status updates and presentations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field (MBA, CPA, CIA, FRM, CFA or other related designations an asset)
  • 7‑ 10 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on regulatory remediation and non‑financial risk categories
  • Knowledge in developing and executing regulatory governance frameworks in a large, complex organization
  • Establish comprehensive status reporting, issue tracking, and coordination of issue validation and closure packages
  • Strong understanding of internal and external regulatory requirements and standards
  • Analytical skills, with experience in conducting complex risk analyses and thematic reviews
  • Proven ability to influence and advise stakeholders and cross‑platform teams
  • Experience supporting regulatory and audit engagements
