Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Assurance – Private Equity to lead audit engagements for PE-backed portfolio companies, across manufacturing, consumer products and technology.

You will coach teams, drive technical excellence in IFRS and U.S. GAAP, manage complex consolidations, and contribute to business development while delivering high quality client service. This is a Toronto-based role with a blended in-office and client-site model.

Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• 8+ years of progressive assurance and audit experience.
• Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager within a public accounting firm.
• 3-4+ years managing complex consolidations and multi-entity reporting structures.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience auditing private equity-backed portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit engagements for private equity-backed portfolio companies across key industries.
• Lead and review complex year-end audits with quality and timely delivery.
• Oversee engagements involving complex consolidations, multi-entity structures, acquisitions, equity instruments.
