Job summary

  • Regulatory experience is an asset (Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, Third Party Risk, Legal).
  • Experience in project management and/or regulatory reform initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and reporting; Power BI preferred.
  • Advanced to intermediate: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to build and execute the project plan for Wealth Management operational resilience.
  • Advise and design control policies, procedures, and frameworks for new initiatives and products.
  • Assess and report on business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis, change, and data risk management.
  • Analyze data, alerts, and monitoring results to identify gaps and trends.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to create an integrated risk framework.
  • Champion customer-focused culture and leverage bank relationships and systems.
  • Lead and report on operational resilience efforts; provide back-up to the Director.

The Senior Manager, Operational Resilience will primarily focus on operational resilience, including governance and reporting, end to end operational process mappings, business continuity, incident management activities and Third-Party Risk Management processes and planning. They will ensure all activities follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for reporting and oversight for execution of the operational resilience program for Global Wealth Management (GWM), that will address the needs of the business to identify and ensure ongoing functionality of key Critical Business and Shared Services. The Senior Manager will provide governance and oversight to the operational resilience program and will develop solution roadmaps in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Facilitate and collaborate with cross functional teams to build out and execute on the project plan and stand up the Wealth Management operational resilience program Advise, review and design control and operational policies, procedures, and frameworks to manage risks of new wealth management initiatives, including new products and service offerings, technology platforms, investment tools, digital offerings, and applications
  • Assess, report and leverage workstreams for business continuity management, disaster recovery, crisis management, change management, technology and cyber risk management, third-party risk management and data risk management
  • Analyze data, alerts and results of monitoring assessments and inventories to identify potential gaps, patterns, and trends
  • Develop and foster relationships with stakeholders/control functions and business partners for the purposes of creating an integration risk framework and enhancing business line effectiveness
  • Champion a customer-focused culture and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Lead, analyze, consolidate, and report on operational resilience efforts as required
  • Provide back-up for Director in their absence
Skills
  • Undergraduate degree in business-related studies or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of Global Wealth business units (brokerages, asset management, estates and trust, private banking, mutual fund dealers, and International Wealth Management), including operational processes, regulatory obligations, and risk governance
  • Working experience and knowledge of quality assurance processes
  • Regulatory experience is an asset, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, Third Party Risk, and Legal
  • Work experience in project management and/or regulatory reform initiatives
  • Working knowledge and expertise with data analytics and reporting, Power BI preferred
  • Advanced to Intermediate level: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, deliver presentations and effectively interact with GWM business units and other departments
  • Relationship building competencies to build/maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders and business unit partners
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and proven track record of meeting deliverables
  • Effective leadership and project management skills
