Staples Canada is seeking a senior IT leader to drive Merchandising and ERP Systems, ensuring day-to-day delivery, enhancements, and support for Merchandising, Replenishment, and Procurement, plus Retail and Finance modules of the ERP platform.

You will coach a team, manage backlogs, coordinate with vendors, and align with IT and business stakeholders to meet SLAs and deliver improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in Merchandising, Retail, or ERP systems.
• Minimum 3 years of IT management experience.
• Experience supporting a large North American retail or e-commerce business.
• In-depth working knowledge of Merchandising and Replenishment processes.
• Strong ERP understanding and integration with Merchandising and Supply Chain.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Specifically, You Will

• Manage and prioritize the enhancement and support backlog for Merchandising, Replenishment, Procurement, and ERP (Retail / Finance) systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team including a Manager and Technical Product Owners.
• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for Merchandising and ERP systems on cross-functional projects.
• Review and approve vendor configuration, design, and modification specifications for Merchandising and ERP enhancements.
• Work with other IT teams to integrate Merchandising and ERP systems into Staples Canada’s broader IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT support and vendor support teams to ensure production issues are resolved within SLA.
• Prepare and review detailed project documentation, assign appropriate tasks, and provide a sound design for requested enhancements.
• React quickly to changing business needs and recommend appropriate system enhancements.
• Establish strong working relationships with Merchandising, Finance, and Retail Operations end users to gain a practical understanding of business procedures, policies, and daily operational processes.
• Manage the team’s performance, providing coaching and guidance when necessary.

• Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and giving feedback.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint).

Physical Demands/working Conditions

• Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
• Occasional travel to other Staples sites as required to support projects and stakeholder engagement.
