Job summary

HOOPP is seeking a Senior Investment Performance Systems professional to lead the operation of the P&L system (Ortec Pearl), data flows, and reporting automation. You will work across IT, Front, Middle, and Back Offices to implement robust solutions for investment reporting and analytics.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in a technical investment role, with strong SQL/Python, BI tool experience, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a business-focused technical role within the Investment industry.
• 5+ years configuring and maintaining middle office systems with SQL, spreadsheets, and database apps.
• 5+ years leading projects and driving UAT, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience developing reports with BI tools (Qlik, Power BI) and data modeling.
• Professional designations (CFA/FRM/CPA) are assets.
• Strong analytical mindset, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own and steward the Investment Performance data lifecycle and warehousing; ensure data integrity.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade the P&L system across environments; optimize and validate logic.
• Lead analysis, integrations, and testing for new products/functionalities within cross-functional teams.
• Develop cross-functional reports and automation using BI tools (Qlik, Power BI) and scripting.
• Understand HOOPP portfolios and deal structures; contribute to data architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to deliver automated solutions and manage risk to data quality.
