Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group, Toronto, seeks a Senior Manager, Investment Accounting to lead the Investment Accounting team, consolidate financial information, and produce key note disclosures. You will work closely with Corporate Finance and Investment Finance/Operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in technical accounting for financial instruments, IFRS expertise, a CPA designation, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Technical accounting and IFRS knowledge relevant to investments and financial instruments.
• CPA designation and accounting/finance degree.
• Experience documenting conclusions on technical accounting matters.
• Leadership experience managing and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate investment accounting function and consolidation of investment results.
• Prepare key financial statement note disclosures and assist external reporting.
• Review disclosures and explain movements and drivers clearly to stakeholders.
• Develop policy and enhance financial statement presentation for financial instruments.
