Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group is seeking a Manager, Internal Controls to lead and enhance the internal controls program across OMERS and Oxford scopes. The role partners with finance, business teams and external auditors to ensure robust control environments and timely remediation of deficiencies.

The role requires a university degree in accounting, finance, or business, plus 5+ years in audit or internal controls with knowledge of COSO and COBIT frameworks.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
• 5+ years in external audit, NI 52-109 compliance, or internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and enhancement of Oxford’s internal controls program.
• Collaborate with finance, business teams and external auditors for annual testing.
• Document, maintain and update controls in the repository.
• Assess changes in processes for impact on control environment and certification.
• Provide training and awareness on controls to owners and stakeholders.
• Deliver risk oversight and independent assurance on transformation initiatives.
