Senior Manager, Human Resources (14-month contract)

BRC Group of Companies is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Manager, Human Resources to join our dynamic team on a 14-month contract. Our group is committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment, with three furniture manufacturing facilities located in Etobicoke, Brampton, and Georgetown. The Senior Manager, HR will play a vital role in shaping our culture and developing our most valuable asset—our people.

The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, HR provides HR consultation and integrated solutions to leaders and team members, aligning HR strategies with business needs. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the HR departments across our group of companies, including employee / labour relations, recruitment, onboarding, health and safety, and training and development. This is a 14-month contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR consultation, coaching, and solutions to leaders; handle escalated employee relations issues.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align human capital strategies with organizational goals.
  • Plan HR requirements in collaboration with departmental managers.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs, assessing market trends regularly.
  • Work with the health and safety team to lead initiatives across the group.
  • Develop performance goals, metrics, and targets aligned with Business Plans.
  • Manage the business planning process, ensuring managers meet their goals.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies supporting business growth.
  • Steward the Performance Management Process.
  • Lead learning and development initiatives; develop and deploy relevant training sessions.
  • Assist with workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and compile statistical reports.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of progressive HR experience, including management or leadership roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to influence at senior leadership levels.
