Job summary

Corp of the County of Hastings in Belleville seeks a permanent full-time Manager of Homelessness Initiatives and Prevention. The role provides oversight of homelessness prevention programs, reporting to the Director of Community and Human Services.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, budget management, contract oversight, and partnerships with provincial and community agencies to support clients in Hastings County.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma in Human Services or related field is required.
• Minimum five years of progressive management experience in municipal/government or private agency.
• Strong working knowledge of homelessness programs, Ontario Works, Children’s Services and Housing Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial guidance to management team members and community partners.
• Develop performance goals and plans for management team members and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Monitor workload levels and caseloads; develop plans to address staffing needs and workload balance.
• Develop, monitor and report on service contracts and performance indicators with funded agencies.
• Develop, monitor and report on the division's budget and financial performance.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with provincial legislation, policies and program requirements.
