Job description

Is a leading independent financial services firm seeking a driven and experienced accounting & finance professional to join its team in Downtown Toronto. This role supports strategic planning, financial analysis, and reporting, with exposure to senior leadership and various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and support financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting initiatives
2. Lead Management and ad-hoc reporting
3. Prepare operating and performance reports; analyze budget variances
4. Develop dashboards and analytical tools using Power BI
5. Manage cost allocation models and assess business impacts
6. Conduct account reconciliations and prepare financial entries
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects
8. Identify and implement improvements in reporting and internal controls

Qualifications:

1. CPA or equivalent with 8+ years’ experience in a finance and accounting role; CFA would be an asset
2. Audit/Public Accounting Background
3. Experience with a broker dealer is strongly preferred
4. Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
5. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
6. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
7. Experience with Dataphile software is an asset
