Your day at NTT DATA
The Senior Manager, Finance is a senior management role, accountable for managing various financial activities within the organization.

This role involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting and ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with relevant regulations.

This role is responsible for providing operational support to business stakeholders on matters pertaining to financial management and operational implementation.

This role provides management and leadership of a finance team, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages financial plans, including annual budgets, long-term financial forecasts, and financial modelling, ensuring the alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conducts in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into organizational financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversees the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors and controls budgetary allocations and expenditures across various business areas and/or projects. Identifies variances and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversees the management of the finance information systems and necessary reports for critical analysis of financial performance.
  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates financial risks that could impact business financial stability or profitability.
  • Implements and monitors risk management strategies and policies.
  • Establishes and maintains strong financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
  • Provides financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws in the regions where the organization operates.
  • Coordinates with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintains relationships with investors and analysts, providing them with accurate and transparent financial information and responding to inquiries.
  • Builds and leads a high-performing finance team, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Broad knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Deep proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a finance team.

  • Broad proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Adaptability to changing business environments and the ability to contribute to financial transformation initiatives when necessary.
  • Commitment to ethical and responsible financial practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Political savvy with the ability to influence and manage conflict.
  • Understanding of how technology solutions are influenced and affected by various business scenarios.
  • Process driven and commercially astute abilities.

Academic qualifications and certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Finance related field preferred.

Required experience:
  • Extended financial leadership experience in a related environment, managing people, processes and budgets to achieve corporate and divisional objectives.
  • Extended demonstrable experience with and understanding of the deliverables of a financial function
  • Extended strategic planning experience.
  • Extended in-depth knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs, combined with strong understanding of business process.
  • Extended experience managing finance operations on a global scale, including knowledge of international taxation, foreign exchange, and regulatory compliance in multiple regions.
