Job summary

Avanade seeks a Senior Manager Delivery Lead to drive large, complex technology programs for strategic accounts. You will lead mobilization, execution, and closure, partnering with clients, account teams, and delivery organizations to ensure successful outcomes and strong client satisfaction.

You will mentor Delivery Leads and project teams, oversee governance, risk, and financial performance, and shape delivery strategy across multiple engagements, with opportunities for growth within Avanade

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• PMP, Agile, or equivalent delivery certification preferred.
• 10+ years of consulting, technology delivery, or program leadership experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing delivery teams, large programs, strategic accounts, or portfolios.

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and issues to ensure value delivery.

Job description

Responsible for the successful delivery of large, complex technology programs, strategic client accounts, or portfolios of work. Accountable for delivery performance across scope, schedule, financials, quality, client satisfaction, and business outcomes. The Senior Manager Delivery Lead provides leadership from opportunity shaping and mobilization through execution and closure, while partnering with clients, account teams, and delivery organizations to ensure successful outcomes for both the client and Avanade.

This role may serve as: Delivery Lead for major transformation programs, typically $5M+ Account Delivery Lead for strategic clients Portfolio Delivery Lead overseeing multiple engagements Delivery Sponsor, Mobilization Coach, Quality Assurance Lead, or Recovery Lead

Key Accountabilities

Delivery Leadership Lead large, complex programs and multi-workstream engagements. Establish governance, delivery strategy, reporting, and stakeholder management approaches. Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, dependencies, risks, and issues. Drive successful mobilization, execution, and closure of engagements. Ensure delivery outcomes align with client objectives, contractual commitments, and Avanade quality standards.

Client and Commercial Management

Build trusted relationships with client executives, C-level leaders, and senior business stakeholders. Represent Avanade in executive governance forums, steering committees, and key delivery reviews. Manage executive stakeholder expectations and navigate complex organizational dynamics. Own delivery financial performance, forecasting, margin management, and contractual obligations. Partner with Avanade Account Leadership, Sales Leadership, and Solution Area leaders to drive account growth through successful delivery outcomes. Identify and cultivate opportunities for extensions, renewals, cross-sell, and up-sell growth.

Sales and Solutioning Support

Partner with sales, account, and solutioning teams to shape and position new opportunities. Support opportunity qualification, estimation, planning, and solution reviews. Validate delivery approaches, resource plans, schedules, and commercial assumptions. Leverage delivery experience and client relationships to support account growth and strategic pursuits.

Leadership and Capability Development

Lead and mentor Delivery Leads, Project Managers, and delivery teams. Act as a senior escalation point for critical delivery, client relationship, and commercial issues. Partner with Portfolio Delivery Leads, Client Group leaders, Practice leaders, and Account Executives to drive successful delivery outcomes. Promote delivery excellence, quality, risk management, and continuous improvement. Support workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development. Act as a Career Advisor and delivery leadership mentor.

Scope of Work

Lead major transformational programs, strategic accounts, or portfolios. Operate with significant autonomy in delivery and commercial decision-making. Responsible for delivery performance, client satisfaction, and financial outcomes. Influence account growth, delivery strategy, and organizational capability development. Frequently work with executive stakeholders across clients, Avanade, Accenture, Microsoft, and partner organizations.

Skills and Experience

Proven success delivering complex enterprise programs, typically $5M+. Proven experience managing executive and C-level stakeholders within both client and internal organizations. Demonstrated ability to influence senior decision-makers and build trusted advisor relationships. Experience partnering with account and sales leadership to expand client relationships and drive revenue growth through successful delivery. Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong program and project management capabilities, including financial, commercial, and risk management. Experience leading multiple teams across onshore, offshore, and client organizations. Deep understanding of delivery methodologies, governance models, and quality management practices. Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies and enterprise solution delivery.
