Join to apply for the Senior Manager – Cross Border Tax role at Baker Tilly Canada

We are currently seeking a Cross Border Tax Senior Manager to join our tax practice in Toronto or Vancouver. This role is ideal for individuals committed to a career in taxation and eager to lead tax engagements while contributing to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Our tax practice offers opportunities in various areas including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, private business transactions, estate planning, and cross border investment and compliance. We welcome candidates with experience in any of these areas.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Collaborating with Tax Partners and senior staff on personal tax compliance and advisory engagements.
2. Managing tax planning and compliance services for clients with US and Canadian income or estate tax filings.
3. Overseeing risk management and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and budgets.
4. Reviewing assessments and liaising with IRS, state authorities, and CRA.
5. Building and maintaining senior-level client relationships; providing high-quality tax advice.
6. Mentoring and coaching staff to develop their potential.
7. Supporting staff in tax matters and identifying client service opportunities.
