Job summary

Raise is hiring a Senior Manager Climate Performance for a leading client in Toronto. The role focuses on data-driven climate metrics, stakeholder engagement, and strategic reporting to senior leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in management consulting or financial services, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience building dashboards. This is a 12-month hybrid engagement with potential extension.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional work experience in management consulting, financial services, sustainability/cleantech or equivalent
  • Strong Financial Services industry experience is important
  • Strong Financial Controls knowledge is important
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to identify anomalies and trends in data
  • Strong PowerPoint skills to create decks
  • Experience with large datasets in Excel and interacting with technical teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or relevant discipline

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and work cross-functionally to collect, analyze and prepare data for climate metrics
  • Lead quarterly internal reporting on climate, including product roadmap/vision, stakeholder engagement, narrative development, project management, and controls/review
  • Prepare quarterly dashboards and briefings for senior leadership and Board review
  • Own methodologies and process documentation for measuring key climate metrics and drive synergies across data sources
  • Create and manage detailed project plans and oversee delivery against timelines
  • Work with business stakeholders to enable granular measurement of sectoral and business-line performance
  • Support ad-hoc climate- or data-related strategy projects

Job description

  • Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (3 days on site)
  • Pay Rate : $54/hr - $63.76/hr
  • Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility for extension

We at Raise are hiring a Senior Manager Climate Performance for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Responsibilities
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and working cross-functionally across teams to collect, analyze and prepare data for strategic climate metrics.
  • Lead quarterly internal reporting on climate, including product roadmap/vision, stakeholder engagement, narrative development, project management, and controls/review
  • Prepare and summarize quarterly dashboards, PowerPoint presentations and briefings that communicate actionable insights for senior leader, executive and Board review and decision-making
  • Own and manage methodologies and related process documentation for measurement of key climate metrics, including the Energy Supply Ratio and bank’s Low-Carbon and renewable lending commitments, and identify and drive synergies in measurement and data sourcing across metrics
  • Create, maintain and manage detailed project plans, and oversee delivery against tight timelines
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to enable granular measurement of sectoral and line‑of‑business performance progress
  • Lead and support with ad‑hoc climate‑ and/or data‑related strategy projects
Must Have Skills
  • 6+ years of professional work experience in management consulting, financial services, sustainability/cleantech or an entrepreneurial environment, or other comparable experience
  • Strong Financial Services industry experience is very important
  • Strong Financial Controls knowledge are very important
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good writing skills
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to identify anomalies and trends in data.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills to create presentation/reporting decks.
  • Experience and comfort working with large datasets in Excel, and interacting with technical teams and create a PP presentation as a report.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail; proven ability to manage stakeholders across all levels of a large organization with impact and influence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities under tight timelines, ideally through relevant work experience in project management
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or other relevant discipline
Nice To Have Skills
  • Knowledge of emerging climate technologies and/or relevant climate methodologies and concepts such as sustainable finance and financed emissions
  • Passion and interest in driving environmental change
  • Skills and experience building executive-facing dashboards using data analytics or AI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
