Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Audit and Assurance team serving clients in Owen Sound, Walkerton, and Collingwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, providing high-quality assurance services to our clients, and managing a team of professionals. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. We are looking specifically for candidates that reside within our regional service area.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train audit staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Review and approve audit work papers, financial statements, and reports.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client proposals and presentations.
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to ensure a cohesive approach to client service.
  • Assist with practice inspections and assist with the delivery of a quality management framework.

A successful candidate will have :

Qualifications :

  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Professional Accounting License (PAL) from CPA Ontario.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit and assurance services.
  • Proven track record of managing audit engagements and leading audit teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, ASPE, etc.) and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
