Overview

The Workforce Optimization (Resource Management) team is an integral part of KPMG’s National Audit Operations Team which deploys various programs focused on centralization, standardization and automation to support audit engagement teams in performing effective and efficient audits. Workforce Optimization is about standardizing and optimizing resources for our firm, our audit clients, and our people.

The Workforce Optimization Technology Manager plays a lead role supporting the business applications tools that are related to activities such as managing resources, accreditation, Audit Quality Controls, capacity management and helping the business with key metrics.

This role involves close collaboration with IT professionals responsible for platform maintenance and implementation, the Department of Professional Practice and end-users, and will also provide expert-level support to ensure optimal utilization of all Workforce Management tools.

This is a highly visible role that requires a mix of technical acumen and team leadership skills to drive the execution of new and current tools. This person must be creative, ask questions, and be comfortable challenging the status quo.

What You Will Do

  • Build reports that integrate all tools required for Workforce Optimization (eQualify, GLMS, Retain, CEAC)
  • Apply technical expertise to coordinate and develop User Acceptance Testing for enhancements to current or new Audit Workforce Tools.
  • Be the primary liaison between the end-user community, IT support, Learning, the Department of Professional Practice, other member firms, and KPMG Project Teams.
  • Apply your technical expertise and analyze and recommend changes to current business processes and data flows.
  • Recommend improvements to procedures and report documentation while ensuring control compliance.
  • Participate in new system implementations. Work with project team to ensure system requirements, analyze data and make recommendations for options and connect back with the business.
  • Responsible for maintenance of Audit Workforce Tools. Review statements of work and service level agreements. Complete log issues, and change orders while following up on outcome.
  • Work with Workforce Optimization Team to identify pain points, improve process and documentation.
  • Provide first level support for all Audit Workforce Tools, escalate to IT support team when necessary and follow up on outcome.
  • Provide application administration, such as access control, end user permissions, reporting and analytics.
  • Provide feedback and enhancement requests to the IT department with prioritization.
  • Take initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommend solutions.
  • Work closely with the RPA team for development and enhancements to current processes.
  • Establish strong relationships, and proactively communicate, with team members as well as individuals across the organization.
  • Utilize data management skills to assist the Workforce Optimization Team with report development and execution (PowerBI is essential).

What You Bring To The Role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical skills required : Excel and PowerBI.
  • Previous experience in UAT / QA Testing is required.
  • Experience in leading requirement walk-throughs with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to translate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Client-centered approach to projects.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to evolving technology.
  • Understanding of, or experience working in, the professional services industry.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate may be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $73,000 to $109,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The actual salary offered will depend on location, skills, competencies, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
