Job summary

BDO Winnipeg is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Assurance team. You will manage audit projects for private and nonprofit clients, oversee year-end engagements, and ensure high-quality working papers.

You will build strong client relationships, contribute to business development, and mentor staff, all while upholding our values of integrity, respect, and collaboration. You have a CPA designation and at least five years of audit experience, with in-depth ASPE/ASNPO knowledge, and you excel in

Your Opportunity

Our Winnipeg office is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Assurance team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of audit projects for Private or NPO organizations
  • Efficiently prepare year-end audit engagements for your clients in a variety of industries.
  • Perform audits on a variety of clients, prepare working papers per regulatory standards.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
  • Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.

Your experience and education
  • You have completed your CPA designation
  • You have at least 5 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry
  • In depth experience in relation to ASPE or ASNPO files
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
