Job summary

Sofina Foods Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Agribusiness Performance to apply disciplined analytics and entrepreneurial insights to elevate business performance. The role supports planning improvements, grower engagement, and a rolling 5-year capacity plan across multiple plants and hatcheries.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in a related field, 7+ years in manufacturing (CPG preferred), and expertise in ERP systems plus Power BI. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain management or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in a manufacturing environment within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated solid business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
  • Thoroughness, curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling required.
  • Ability to implement Power BI analytics and dashboards.

Job description

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Agribusiness Officer, the Senior Manager, Agribusiness Performance applies disciplined analytics and entrepreneurial insights to advance business performance and excellence across the organization. This key role supports the mandate of the Agribusiness team to elevate data metrics, develop planning improvements, and improve grower engagement and retention. Another significant deliverable is the development and updating of the rolling 5 year Agribusiness capacity plan.

Key Accountabilities
  • Key Leader across 13 primary processing plants and 4 hatcheries driving collaboration cross-functionally, with the primary objective to develop, implement, and adopt a continuous improvement focus utilizing metrics and data, resulting in improved business outcomes.
  • Develop standardized daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to drive organizational performance, as opportunities are identified in weekly and monthly reviews
  • Apply relevant business insights and knowledge to generate sound decision-making within the company’s Agribusiness activities.
  • Improve and build better reporting and tools to enable improved decision-making and collaboration across functions.
  • Identify opportunities through a detailed understanding of the activities underlying costs of operations, and design and implement changes that will maintain competitive advantage.
  • Lead collaboration between plants, hatcheries, engineering, and finance to develop better and more timely business cases to facilitate resource investments.
  • Support major projects with business case development while identifying benefits to the business.
  • Provide guidance and insights to drive simplification, elimination, combination, and reduction of data/multiple data reports across the Agribusiness network.
  • Support and facilitation of continuous improvement tracking, driving efficient and effective follow-up with clear accountability.
  • Question with rigor, deep-diving decisions, and challenge the Agribusiness team to improve outcomes.
  • Use disciplined analysis, modeling, and forecasting to inspire and drive better decisions and results.
  • Continuous Improvement of performance reporting and decision-making methodology to support the growing business.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Live Procurement, ands Hatcheries to manage operating costs and drive operational excellence.
  • Lead the development of a 5 year rolling plan capturing capacity needs from hatching egg supply to primary processing, leading to expansion planning to meet the growth of the business.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain management or related field
  • 7 years plus experience in a manufacturing environment within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated solid business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
  • Thoroughness, curiosity, and attention to detail
  • Above average experience with an ERP system
  • Superior computer skills including advanced spreadsheet modeling
  • Ability to implement Power BI analytics and dashboards
  • Travel required as per business needs.

Hiring Range: CAD $95,800 to $145,800

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 16.5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.

Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
