Job summary

Chapman’s Ice Cream in Markdale, Ontario seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead daily operations of the maintenance team and safeguard reliability of production equipment. You will drive safety, continuous improvement, and proactive maintenance across the facility.

This role collaborates with plant leadership, schedules preventive work, manages contractors, and ensures compliance with OH&S and industry standards.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred but not mandatory; a valid trade ticket or equivalent technical qualification will also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor activities to ensure safety standards.
• Lead plant shutdown planning and execution and manage project documentation.
