Job summary
TD in Toronto is seeking a seasoned mainframe engineer to perform moderately to highly complex tasks with guidance for high-risk changes. You will design, code, test, and implement mainframe solutions, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2, while supporting production incidents and driving continuous improvement.
You will work within enterprise standards, collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams, and contribute to automation and modernization efforts in a regulated
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background delivering enterprise applications including mainframe solutions
- End-to-end design, development, testing and production support
- Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and batch processing
- Knowledge of mainframe tooling such as Endevor, Z/OS, TSO/ISPF
- Familiarity with APIs, batch workflows, and service integrations
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement mainframe solutions in line with requirements
- Support incidents, perform impact assessments, and coordinate resolution
- Contribute to quality reviews and compliance with enterprise standards
- Identify improvements for automation, performance, and stability
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams
