Job summary

Citi’s Technology team in Mississauga, Canada is seeking a Senior Mainframe Applications Developer to design, build, test, and support critical mainframe systems using COBOL, JCL, and CICS. You will own the full development lifecycle and advise teams on best practices.

You will work with independence, coach junior developers, and contribute to secure, scalable solutions across Citi's global technology platforms with a hybrid office/remote model.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in systems analysis and applications development.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining applications with COBOL.
• Hands-on experience writing and managing JCL scripts.
• Practical experience developing with CICS.
• A track record of managing and delivering successful technology projects.
• Working knowledge of project management and consulting techniques.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines without losing focus on quality.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

As a Senior Mainframe Applications Developer, you will build, test, and support critical mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS, directly shaping how Citi's technology platforms serve its business users. This role sits within Citi's Technology team, where you will take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from design through implementation, while advising teams on best practices. You will work with a high degree of independence, acting as a go-to specialist for complex application challenges.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $94,300.00 - $141,500.00
