About The Team

The AI Products group collaborates to build products that use AI and ML to reduce toil and deliver timely insights. Working within the Data & Science team, you will join a diverse, globally distributed team of scientists, engineers,, product managers, and analysts who transform data into insightful products.

ML engineers design and build infrastructure and services powering AI products used by millions daily. They work closely with Applied Scientists to transition models from research to production. As a Senior ML Engineer, you will lead programs that push the boundaries of current technology.

About The Role

• Lead the design of our AI research and production infrastructure, ensuring scalability and flexibility for research teams.

• Manage our strategy for controlling technical debt and costs across our stack.

• Ensure we solve the right problems with appropriate methods.

• Share knowledge and elevate the skills of the AI Products team.

• Mentor and develop team members to enhance our ability to build and operate intelligent, data-driven products.

• Collaborate across teams to improve data quality and usability.

What you will bring with you

• Strong coding and system design skills in Python or similar languages used in large-scale data and AI applications.

• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of distributed processing principles (e.g., Spark, Dask).

• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Experience mentoring junior ML engineers and establishing standards.

• Interest in applying emerging LLM technologies to product innovation.

• Experience with AI frameworks (MLFlow, TensorFlow, PyTorch), data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect), and managing distributed data workloads (AWS EMR) is highly valued.
