Senior M&E Superintendent - Commercial Construction Leader

Job summary

Ledcor Group is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage large-scale commercial construction projects in Caledon, Ontario. The role focuses on coordinating field operations, manpower, materials, and ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.

You will lead mechanical and electrical teams, review drawings and specifications, manage subcontractors, and drive progress while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role managing large ICI construction projects
• Healthcare and design-build project experience are preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, boilers, chillers, and electrical systems
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, ensure quality, and maintain safety compliance
• Familiarity with OH&S and environmental standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction to ensure alignment with approved plans, specs, and building codes
• Contribute to M&E Scope of Work and Tender Packages by reviewing specs, drawings, budgets, and contracts
• Develop and manage mechanical and electrical schedules, including submissions, deliveries, installations, and inspections
• Support Project Managers with schedule updates, RFIs, shop drawings reviews, and project completion requirements
• Plan manpower levels, material needs, and equipment availability
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical work to meet project requirements
• Resolve conflicts in structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specs
• Perform maintenance checks on HVAC, boilers, chillers, and other systems
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress
• Mentor project team members for development and growth
• Maintain quality via the Project Quality Program
