Job summary

Aspira Credit River Retirement Residence is seeking a Recreation Aide to lead engaging activities for residents, promoting health, happiness and meaningful daily routines. You will support a welcoming, safe environment and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.

Ideal candidates have a background in gerontology or related health field, CPR/First Aid, and certifications in fitness or serving safely. You will collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver dynamic programs daily.

Qualifications

Experience working with seniors and knowledge of wellness principles.
Degree or diploma in Gerontology or related health field is preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid certificate is required.
Smart Serve/Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Support engaging activities for residents in a fast-paced setting.
Maintain safe, welcoming environment and assist with daily leisure programming.
Maintain and update event calendars and leisure profiles within required timelines.
Collaborate with volunteers and community groups to enhance programming.
