Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a full-time Housekeeping and Food Service Supervisor to manage daily operations in a small senior living facility in Aurora, Ontario. You will supervise housekeeping, laundry, and food service teams, ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and the ability to coordinate schedules while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in housekeeping, food service, hospitality, healthcare, long-term care, retirement living, or a similar environment.
• Experience managing teams and scheduling staff.
• Experience with inventory control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of retirement home operations and resident-centered care principles.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic scheduling systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry operations across the residence.
• Coordinate daily schedules and priorities for staff.
• Inspect resident suites, dining rooms, and facilities to ensure cleanliness.
• Monitor supplies and equipment; ensure WHMIS compliance.
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism.
• Oversee food service attendants; maintain service quality and safety.
• Lead performance reviews and staff development initiatives.
• Assist with corrective actions and disciplinary processes as needed.
