Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for the full operation of food services, housekeeping, and resident laundry in a multi-service healthcare environment that includes Long Term Care and Daily Assisted Living.

The role oversees the food and facilities contract, ensures financial accountability and compliance with Aramark Healthcare standards, and leads departments to deliver a unified experience for patients, residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Service & Nutrition Management preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience managing operations with $1–$2 million responsibility.
• Multi-service experience a plus.
• Healthcare Food Service management experience preferred.
• PIDAC familiarity is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and staff.
• P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food and facilities service.
• Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client relations; identifies expansion opportunities.
• Directs and manages Food Service Supervisors and front-line staff; ensure development and engagement.
• Directs, staffs, and trains food service department regarding presentation, quality, cost control, cash handling.
• Supervises Housekeeping staff across shifts; ensure cleaning and infection control standards.
• Develops housekeeping standards and work schedules.
• Develops forecasts and explains variances; handles accounting functions.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.
• Performs monthly audits and monthly targets.
