Job summary

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will help supervise kitchen activities, plan menus, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met while accommodating modified diets and resident preferences.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
• Formal Food Service training preferred (Red Seal or equivalent) or 3–5 years of large-scale cooking experience.
• Experience leading others in a food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Supervisor in supervising the food services team.
• Coordinate and oversee care partner planning and service time scheduling.
• Recruitment, interviewing, hiring, retention, promotion, orientation, and training support.
• Order, receive, and manage inventory for the operation of the food services area.
• Prepare high-quality meals and accommodate modified diets as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards and checklists.
