Job summary

Crafty Penguins is expanding and seeking a Senior Linux Systems Specialist for a fully remote position. You will resolve complex Linux-based issues, optimize infrastructure, and collaborate with clients to ensure system reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Linux environments, is comfortable with Kubernetes and cloud platforms; you will communicate clearly and manage projects while maintaining high support standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Networking.
• Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean).
• Debugging Unix-based systems and low-level IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients to handle requests and incidents.
• Perform client system patching and health checks.
• Deployments via SOPs and standard procedures.
• Onboard new clients and create roadmaps for improving infrastructure.
• Time tracking for hours worked; afterhours may be required.
