Job summary

Glencore Canada is seeking a Reclamation Manager to oversee the end-to-end closure of legacy mining sites across Central Canada. You will lead water management, reclamation and budget planning while engaging regulators, First Nations, and local communities to ensure safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible site closure.

The role requires 15+ years in mining, 7+ years in leadership, and frequent travel. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years’ industrial experience in the mining sector.
• Minimum of 7 years in a management or leadership role.
• Engineering or Science degree from a recognized institution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations, process management and mine reclamation.
• Experience with water management systems and pumping

Responsibilities

• Oversee the active closure and long-term closure obligations at legacy sites within Central Canada.
• Develop annual site operating budgets and manage spend to optimize resources.
• Act as RTFE/RTFP and coordinate stakeholder engagement with regulators, First Nations and communities.
• Travel approximately 30–50% of the time to sites across Ontario and nearby regions.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Risk Management programs and internal standards.
• Provide closure planning technical support to operating sites as needed.
