Senior LPS Facilitator – S&C Electric Canada

As an S&C Electric Canada team member, you’ll work on tasks and projects that have real-world impact. You’ll help transform the grid for resilient and reliable power worldwide, advancing a safer, more reliable, and more resilient electrical grid.

Compensation

The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $66,110 - $87,587.8. Individual pay within this range is determined by performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP) with a target bonus of 4% of annual base earnings.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate improvement projects while collaborating with business owners at multiple levels within S&C Canada.
  • Create and improve Value Streams and Process Maps to better serve internal and external customers.
  • Work with Leadership Team, Departmental Managers, and Team Members to plan, facilitate and manage cross-functional improvement projects, including Kaizen events.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members across all company departments during the planning and execution of improvement projects and 4-Step Problem Solving.
  • Promote and contribute to developing continuous improvement approaches, methods, and tools utilized by S&C.
  • Prepare reports, training, and developmental materials with an emphasis on LPS (e.g., standardized work, problem solving).
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior team members.
Minimum Requirements
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or Business (with a focus on Operations Management) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of related experience working within a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully facilitating lean training and implementation.
  • Previous experience coaching and developing others.
  • Strong understanding of lean performance principles and practices, operational excellence concepts, and tools such as value stream mapping, business process redesign, and facility layout design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong process analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence and work with a wide range of organizational levels, from executive leadership to production team members.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Effort

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required during daily activities, including standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and moving or using objects or equipment up to 20 lbs.

Work Environment

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels.
