Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a senior leader to be the Manager of Land Development & Municipal Engineering in Sudbury and surrounding areas. You will guide a high-performing team, delivering land development and municipal infrastructure with a balance of technical excellence, business growth, and people leadership.

You will report to the Discipline Director and help strengthen client partnerships, pursue proposals, and drive responsible growth while mentoring staff and ensuring delivery quality

Qualifications

• P.Eng. registration in Ontario and a Civil Engineering degree.
• 15+ years leading design and project delivery for Ontario municipalities.
• 5+ years of people leadership and team building.
• Experience in budgeting, invoicing, and key metrics.
• Strong ability to lead proposals and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary municipal engineering teams delivering land development and municipal infrastructure.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client service across multiple projects.
• Strengthen client relationships and pursue project opportunities.
• Develop new business and pipeline through proposals.
• Deliver complex municipal designs: roads, active transportation, water/wastewater, public spaces.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Mentor professionals and promote accountability and collaboration.
• Plan resources and balance workloads across offices.
