Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Senior Lead Java Developer in Toronto. The role blends high-level hands-on development with team leadership to deliver scalable microservices in an Agile setting.

You will work on core Java with Spring/Hibernate, Kafka, and cloud-native stacks, mentoring peers and shaping shared service strategies while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java with Spring and microservices.
• Hands-on CI/CD in Agile environments.
• Experience in financial services domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to SDLC within an Agile framework.
• Design, build, and maintain Java enterprise apps and microservices at scale.
• Drive continuous delivery, automated testing, and performance improvements.
• Mentor team members and guide shared service strategies across teams.
• Diagnose complex issues in relational databases and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
