Toronto – 8 + Years

The position would be as a senior law clerk – it would be working with one partner on mainly personal injury, some property damage and professional negligence defence work. The ideal candidate would have both tort and accident benefit experience.

Responsibilities

• Drafting affidavit of documents;
• Reviewing the other parties affidavit of documents; organizing and requesting productions;
• Summarizing the productions and noting outstanding and missing information;
• Compiling briefs for use by expert assessors;
• Following with undertakings and answering undertakings;
• Preparing briefs for use at hearings;
• Summoning witnesses and organizing witness schedules for trials and hearings;
• Drafting bill of costs;

The day to day is mainly productions review and organization, some travel may be required.
