Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Java full-stack developer to deliver secure, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. You will design and implement Java back-end services and React front-end, ensuring robust API contracts and reliable performance.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in financial services, capital markets, and Broadridge data models, with a focus on security and maintainability across multi-team projects.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of core Java, OO design principles, collections, concurrency.
Relational databases, data modeling, SQL development.
Experience with Broadridge data models and service-oriented integrations.
Experience with React front-end development.
Experience in financial institutions or capital markets is desirable.
Python experience is a plus.

Deliver secure, reliable, maintainable, and business-aligned technology solutions
Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable Java full-stack applications aligned with enterprise standards
Write clean, efficient, well-tested code and participate in peer code reviews
Provide application maintenance and production support during testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization
Follow secure coding and application security practices
Identify and recommend development, automation, and testing tools
Complete unit, integration, component, and regression testing
Participate in scope assessment, risk analysis, impact assessment, cost estimation, and project planning
Improve processes, operational stability, and service reliability
Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve production issues
Monitor service performance, manage configuration, support backups, validate authentication controls, and contribute to performance tuning
Analyze business and technology requirements and identify solution components
Translate business requirements into technical solutions with analysts, designers, and technology partners
Communicate technical decisions, project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management
Support business inquiries, operational requests, enhancements, break/fix implementations, and production support
Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, QA, and business teams
Drive improvements to development practices, automation, testing coverage, deployment processes, and maintainability

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Java 11 or later and Spring Boot
Knowledge of core Java, object-oriented design principles, collections, concurrency, and modern development practices
Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and SQL development
Experience with reference data handling, including security master management, corporate action processing, data reconciliation, and exception handling
Experience with Broadridge, including BPS, Gloss, and Impact data models
Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and service-oriented integrations
Strong experience with microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API contracts, resiliency, observability, and deployment considerations
Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end development practices, including reusable components, state management, and back-end integration
Experience as a Java Developer within a financial institution is desirable
Experience with Python is preferred and considered an advantage
Experience in Prime Brokerage, Securities Finance, or related capital markets business domains is preferred
Experience with Broadridge BPSA or similar brokerage processing platforms is a plus
