Job summary

Soho Square Solutions is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop complex systems, leveraging AI coding assistants to boost velocity and quality. You will ensure performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with global teams in an Agile environment.

You'll contribute to code reviews, testing, and knowledge sharing, writing thorough unit tests and aligning tech initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of development experience with proven ability to write optimized, clean code.
• Proficiency in core Java, Java EE, Spring/SpringBoot and Web Services.
• Experience with UI frameworks (Angular, React) and AI coding assistants for development.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Required Skills

• 7-15 years of development experience with proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.
• Core Java, Java EE, Spring/SpringBoot, Web Services, Relational databases
• Experience with UI development frameworks (preferably Angular, React, etc)
• Experience with AI coding assistants like copilot, using Agent mode, Skills, etc for software development, automation, reporting, or analytics.
• Demonstrated experience in designing complex, large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components, preferably using coding assistant.
• Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and understand the financial aspects of technology decisions.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.
• Understanding of serverless architecture
• Competency with source control systems (preferably git), CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ensuring streamlined development processes.
• Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools
• Basic understanding of Linux and Shell scripting
