Job summary
Randstad Enterprise in Montreal is seeking a Java Engineer to design, build, and optimize high‑performance Java systems powering the Firm Market Risk Platform. You will lead squad‑level technical expertise while developing risk measurement, simulation, and monitoring capabilities for global portfolios.
Location: Montreal, onsite presence required 3x/week. You will work with Risk Managers, Analytics teams, and senior stakeholders in an Agile environment, mentoring juniors and delivering robust
Qualifications
- Proven experience building production-grade backend Java systems.
- Background in large-scale, distributed architectures & cloud deployment.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
- Experience with Linux/Unix scripting and databases.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; strong collaboration with Risk/Analytics teams.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on core Java development for the Market Risk platform.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance computing solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior developers within the squad.
