Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Java Developer to support a mission-critical trading platform. You will own projects from requirements to production, focusing on automation, electronic trading expansion, and algorithmic solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5-15 years of professional Java development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and strong OOP/design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and services supporting a trading platform.
• Develop and enhance algorithmic trading capabilities and automated trading solutions.
• Collaborate with trading desks and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Work with modern and legacy applications to support platform enhancements.
• Take full ownership of development projects from concept through production deployment.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production and application issues.
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
• Work collaboratively with developers, traders, analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Explore and leverage AI tools and AI-assisted development where appropriate.
• Continuously improve development processes, automation, and platform efficiency.
