Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and implement AI-driven automation across a capital markets trading platform. You will work hands-on to transform testing, build AI-powered test generation, and own CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with platform engineers and business analysts, applying Python, SQL, and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality automated testing and reliable deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a software developer or automation engineer writing production-grade code.
• Experience with Banking/financial firm environments.
• Strong Python skills and SQL fluency; familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and LLM-based automation.
• Exposure to capital markets or trading platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Learn Sophis end-to-end architecture and automate testing across the platform.
• Analyze benchmark outputs to identify regressions and data/workflow changes.
• Develop domain expertise in business logic and data flows for automation decisions.
• Transform testing from manual to automated with high-value test automation.
• Build AI-powered test generation and regression triage using LLMs and AI tools.
• Own GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows and deployment pipelines (DEV to PROD).
