Job summary

Kumaran Systems invites a senior IT Lead with 12+ years of experience to join our engineering team in Canada. You will lead large-scale cloud and application design initiatives, guide technical decisions, and mentor developers across banking-domain projects.

Required hands-on Java (v8/11/21), ORM (JPA/Hibernate), messaging (MQ/Kafka), and Azure/OpenShift. Strong problem-solving, code reviews, and DevOps collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with banking domain knowledge preferred.
• 5+ years of lead experience in large-scale enterprise projects.
• Application design experience with low-level design artefacts.
• Proficient in Java v8, v11 and v21 with hands-on coding.
• Ability to explain Java features and provide sample code.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate annotations.
• MQ or Kafka messaging knowledge.
• Async programming concepts, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Experience writing complex queries, joins, views and procedures.
• Query optimisation knowledge.
• Azure Cloud experience; Openshift is a plus.
• DevOps experience and familiarity with GitHub, Jenkins, Jfrog, JIRA, Confluence.
• Clear understanding of code branching policy and lifecycle.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 12+ years of IT experience, Banking domainexperience is nice to have
  
• Minimum 5 years of Lead experience in a large-scaleenterprise.
  
• Have Application design experience, well-versed withlow-level design artefacts.
  
• Java v8, v11 and v21 hand on experience required.
  
• Should be able to clearly explain Java 11/17/21features and able to write sample code snippets.
  
• JPA / Hibernate annotations
  
• MQ or Kafka queue/implementation knowledge
  
• Async Programming features / Implementation andtroubleshooting knowledge
