Job summary

Infoya is hiring a Backend Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. The role involves building secure REST APIs, working with SQL and NoSQL databases, and deploying on Google Cloud Platform in a hybrid environment (2 days in office) in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
• 4-5 years of Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL databases and NoSQL databases (CouchDB, MongoDB, Firestore, Bigtable).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement scalable, secure RESTful APIs.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (CouchDB, MongoDB, Firestore, Bigtable).
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement batch processing and data pipeline integrations.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
• Contribute to event-driven architectures using messaging systems such as Pub/Sub.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance in high-traffic systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and knowledge sharing.
