Job summary

Confluence seeks a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team in Montreal. You will own vulnerability remediation, patching cadence, and secure operations across Windows and Linux environments.

You will collaborate with Cybersecurity to implement controls, manage certificate lifecycles (TLS/PKI), and utilize PAM, Cloudflare, Splunk, and Sumo Logic to monitor and improve security posture. This role is based in Montreal with on-site work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or admin roles.
• Strong generalist infrastructure background across Windows and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server components (AD, DNS, authentication, certificates).
• Experience managing TLS/PKI certificate lifecycle and renewals.

Overview

Confluence is a global investment data technology organization operating across multiple countries. The Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer works within the IT Infrastructure team and partners closely with Cybersecurity to improve security delivery across enterprise Windows and Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direct ownership of vulnerability remediation, reduce backlog, and improve mitigation at scale.
• Improve patching cadence, configuration hygiene, and secure operational practices across infrastructure environments.
• Administer and harden Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, authentication, certificate services) and support Linux administration.
• Support certificate lifecycle management, including TLS/PKI renewals and ongoing certificate operations.
• Work with core security platforms such as PAM solutions and Cloudflare, and support logging and monitoring platforms such as Sumo Logic or Splunk.
• Partner with Cybersecurity and infrastructure stakeholders to implement approved controls, remediate findings, and improve operationalization of security controls.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration or IT infrastructure.
• Strong generalist infrastructure background with ability to work across multiple systems and environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, authentication, certificates) and working knowledge of Linux administration.
• Experience managing certificate lifecycle (TLS/PKI), including renewal and ongoing management.
• Exposure to security tools such as Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Cloudflare (WAF/edge security).
• Experience with logging/monitoring platforms (Splunk, Sumo Logic, or similar) and proven ability to remediate vulnerabilities hands‑on, including patching and backlog reduction.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell required).
• Ability to apply security controls across infrastructure and prevent misconfigurations.
• Experience automating certificate lifecycle processes across environments.
• Experience with SIEM or centralized logging beyond administration, including tuning, alerting, or optimization.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or security projects end‑to‑end.
• Experience working in SaaS or cloud‑centric environments.
• Ability to produce technical documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge transfer.
