Job summary

Semios is seeking a Senior Accountant, Inventory & Cost Management, to lead the financial analysis of inventory, COGS, and related processes. You will own valuation accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and partner with operations to improve ERP setups and reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting with inventory/cost experience and a CPA/CMA designation. A hybrid work model and career growth within a leading agtech company are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in inventory management/cost accounting in an inventory-intensive environment.
• CPA/CMA designation required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive change.
• Experience with ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead close processes and ensure accurate financial statements and management reporting.
• Own COGS analysis across business lines, products and geographies; investigate drivers of variance.
• Maintain inventory valuation and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate inventory counts and reconcile physical vs system records; validate vendor statements.
• Partner with Revenue team to ensure inventory-related invoicing and revenue recognition.
• Identify automation and process improvements to increase efficiency in inventory and cost accounting.
