Job summary

Magna International in Canada is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team and lead financial and compliance audits. You will plan, perform and oversee audits, identify control gaps, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in finance, accounting, or business, with CPA and/or CIA preferred, and brings 4+ years of audit/internal control experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, accounting, or business required; CPA/CIA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, internal controls, or audit.
• IT auditing and fraud investigation experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, presentation abilities, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets data to determine audit scope and perform target samples using analytics.
• Plans, performs, and leads financial, compliance, and other audits within set time frames.
• Uses Internal Audit Management system to plan, perform, and document work.
• Identifies gaps in internal controls and recommends improvements.
• Evaluates audit results for quality of policies, controls, and reporting.
• Drafts audit reports with findings and follows up on recommendations.

Approximately 50% of this could be expected to be overnight travel depending on season.
