Job summary

Magna is seeking a Senior Analyst, Finance & Controlling to support IT finance and controlling activities including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and capex tracking. You will partner with IT operations to provide financial analysis and management reporting while upholding internal controls and policies.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting/finance, proficiency in SAP and data analytics tools, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/controlling/accounting or equivalent.
  • 4+ years in accounting/finance with month-end, year-end, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for IT Controlling.
  • Lead budgeting and quarterly forecast for assigned IT areas.
  • Oversee project accounting and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Provide management reporting and business analysis for decision making.
  • Support business cases for new initiatives and renewals.
  • Ensure internal controls and compliance with accounting policies.

This role partners closely with IT operational teams to provide financial analysis, management reporting, and decision-making support while ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and organizational objectives.Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the Controlling processes for assigned IT functional and regional areas such as monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, business planning, project accounting and capital expenditure trackingMonitor and analyze financial metrics, key performance indicators to identify financial risks and trendsPartner with the Magna IT operational team to provide them with management reporting, business analysis for decision making and provide support for pricing of servicesPreparation of accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting policies & principles and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assetsSupport the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast for the assigned business areas ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic planningProvide support to prepare business cases for new initiatives or renewalsOther responsibilities that may be assigned from time to timeWho we are looking forBachelor’s degree in finance/controlling/accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, data warehouse).
