Job summary

Aquent is seeking a senior interaction designer to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and guide the product design process from ideation to delivery. You will apply comprehensive design knowledge to create impactful digital solutions, lead critiques, and drive inclusive, user-centered outcomes.

You will leverage visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking, conduct usability testing, and ensure design consistency across channels and platforms.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Design, HCI, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong portfolio with application design samples.
• Experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
• Experience in applied research and integrating user research into product design.
• Ability to articulate design strategy, rationale and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to translate ideas into digital solutions.
• Apply interaction design theory and visual design principles to shape critical decisions.
• Craft low- and high-fidelity sketches, wireframes and prototypes for exploration and validation.
• Develop prototypes that serve as detailed delivery specs for development teams.
• Facilitate usability testing sessions and gather user feedback for iteration.
• Present interaction design work and strategic rationale to senior stakeholders.
• Audit design patterns and components to maintain consistency across products.
